Geocache Description:

A true micro in StuartOX17's Dashing Cache series

We have two dogs. They make our house a real home now that the children have flown the nest. We only have a small house and so big dogs would not be appropriate. We chose Lakeland Terriers. They have links to our own roots. Our family are from West Cumbria and one of our cousins is a breeder of Lakelands so it seemed a natural choice.

We walk Rover and Landy regularly round the footpaths near home. There are many to choose from and many offer stunning views. They make a great escape from home and keep us fit too. We walk for hours on end round here – but we recognise that our Geocaching friends are generally less energetic than we are – in fact we often think they have wheels rather than legs!!

This little cache is on one of our occasional walks along part of the “Battlefield Trail”.

It is not the best of our walks – but if we told you where they went you would all come along and spoil them for us! If you follow all of the path from Mollington to the Cache you will find yourself in a totally different place to the Dashing World of the adjacent motorway. If on the other hand you approach from the other end of the path you will only have less than ¼ mile to walk – but you will miss out on all of that peace and quiet. The choice is yours! Either way you will need legs and not wheels!!

Dog Walk Micro is one of the Dashing Cache series hidden by StuartOX17. Unlike other members of the family this one is more than 2 meters from the highway and it is the first true micro in the series. There is only room for a small folded log sheet – so please bring along a soft sharp pencil and something smooth to lean on.

There have been a number of DNFs reported on this - it is cerainly not an easy one to find. To reflect this the difficulty rating has been increased to 3.5
