Geocache Description:

I'll bet you didn't know about this little public fishing area located next to the Crescent generating plant and dam facility. This area is historically known as "Loudon's Ford" but I could find no information to share with you about it. The cache is a .50 cal ammo can.

You need not move any rocks to find this cache so you can leave 'em alone. I don't want to contribute to any erosion in this beautiful area. The terrain is kind of slick and changeable so watch your footing in this area. The terrain rating is higher due to the slip rating. The approach from the parking area of the public fishing access involves a stream crossing. If you follow the stream up the hill a bit there are narrow places to cross. There is some amazing work being done around here by the local beavers. Anywhere you walk around here you'll see their handiwork. You may catch a glimpse of one while searching out this cache. Just be sure to leave 'em to their work and don't disturb them. The will give you plenty of photo opportunities so don't forget your camera!
