Geocache Description:

Peace and Quiet on Day Island!

Come and enjoy the beach on Day Island in University Place. The cache is easy to find now. We went back to the first hiding spot after this one was a bit wet and water levels were high. The GPS jumps depending on the weather in this location, so know that the gps coordinates are correct, and as long as you can see the bench you are within grbbing distance. No bushwhacking, no digging no uncovering is required. The walk down to the beach is on a dirt path, not wheelchair accessible, but you could push a stroller. Sometimes it get overgrown, so be aware of your footing. This is a small family-friendly cache and we will try to keep items in the cache for everybody. The cache is much smaller now. Please be aware that kids frequent this spot and the cache has disappeared in the past, so be mindful of what you place in the cache. Please be respectful of the neighbors. The park and path is set between two houses. Also, be aware of private property signs while on the beach. Your public beach access is clearly marked as well are the private property signs. Street parking only. The streets are narrow, but you'll find parking. Those who come to the island are aware of the tight streets, so don't worry about if you park in the street. A neighbor has a "no parking sign" at the start of the path, so you'll know you're in the right spot. The beach closes at dusk. Screw the cache back "into" its hiding location and make sure it's secure. Be VERY careful of muggles and security cameras! They watch from their houses, so be sly.
