now a small lunchbox size clip lock container placed in park beside a marina
The cache is in a wonderful pocket of three small parks near waterfront and marina. If you love boats or flowers or large shady trees come and see this area.
The smallest park looks out on the water and keeps alive the memory of John "Jack" Goode who tended it for many years. A plaque says simply "Gone Boating".
The prettiest park is a mix of colourful flower beds and lovely trees. Established and nurtured by Rollo Meyers, Christine Meyers and volunteers, who are commemmorated on plaques and seats, it is more of an English garden but with Australian plants. Look for a bathing beauty and a spaced-out dog hiding in the central flower bed.
The best trees are over the road from the Rollo Meyers Park in the park on eastern side of the road to the marina. Great figs and poinciana shade the entire park. It would be lovely in hot summer.
The park with a view of the yachts is where the cache is hidden. In keeping with the cache theme you are looking for a blue flowering shrub. The first cache was muggled and a small container is now hidden in the same place.
Small children will need supervision near the water.
