Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the corner of Boonesboro Rd. and Ford Rd.( Four Mile Rd.) in Clark County. It is a short walk up to an area where a statue of Daniel Boone once stood watching over Fort Boonesboro (or Boonesborough). Boone settled Fort Boonesboro in 1775 while working for the Transylvania Company. He lived there until he moved his family to Boone's Station in 1779.
In the early 1980's the statue was moved to College Park in Winchester. The base that the statue sat on is still at the cache site.
This sight is elevated with old cable barriers which some are down so be careful and watch children when looking for this cache. The cache is located in a safe place not near the edge.
