Part 1 - Meet & Greet
It's time to celebrate the last official day of a long, cold
winter by getting together to enjoy the company of others and
sine nocturnal festivities.
We will meet in the lounge area of Main
& Maple Coffeehouse & Cafe. Of course there is various
beverages to choose from and dinner if you like. Aside from the
usual banter, we will be honoring local cachers who have achieved
milestones recently. Just prior to deparure, a brief overview of
night caching will be given.
Part 2 - Night Caching
With twilight around 7:30p and sunset close to 8:00p, we will
leave Main & Maple between twilight and sunset and meet at the
Riney-B Park. Parking coordinates are included. Once you arrive at
the park, you are on your own. There are 4 permanent night caches
along with a few others that can be done at night. I may even throw
in an event cache. TBD...
What you need for Part 2
What makes Riney-B Park a good place for night caching can also
make for sloppy conditions. Most of the park sits in a low-lying
area. If it has rained recently, it will be wet and muddy.
Waterproof boots and clothes that you do not care to get a little
messy are highly recommended. Staying dry makes a world of
difference. You also need a flashlight unless you really want a
challenge. Lastly, dress warmly.
