Geocache Description:

GZ was hard to get a good lock on with my gps so use the coordinates to get to the rough area. The Cache is 16 paces NW from the DOC sign, next to a Puriri Tree, in its roots.

A nice bush walk will do you well. I am quite pleased that New Zealand is such a wonderful place and an awesome place to cache. We have no dangerous animals at all, it’s fantastic, and in Australia you gotta contend with everything! So this is one for the Flora and Fauna lovers.

I would suggest parking across the road near the road speed limit sign on the beach side.

Dangerous area attribute due to main road.

Cache is 16 paces going into the bush from the edge of the Doc senic reserve sign, which happens to be over a ditch.

Either get muddy feet wading over or go down the road 10-20m till it gets wide enough for you to jump over.

If you are a good geocacher you will see the obvious and large flat rock on the Puriri Root at GZ, just after the tree itself. Just be careful. I know some of you will hate me for this one... I wanted to have a little fun. Possibly not something you may have come across before, and hopefully you will never have to come across the real thing. Not likely in New Zealand though, but you may find some smaller.

When you log your visit PLEASE DON'T give away the surprise!!

If anyone can get better coordinates I would appreciate being told what they are.
