The cache is designed to be done at night; a flashlight is required.

Click to listen to Widerness NightThe above coordinates takes you to the Oakland Hiking Trail trailhead along the Hockanum River. Once there, look for coordinates to take you to a reflective trail leading to the cache. Be sure to check out the map; remember, you are looking for the cache ON AN ISLAND. You should immediately see reflectors if you take the correct bridge.

The final is a small lock-n-lock. Nocturnal encounters may include deer, raccoons, opossum, red fox or perhaps even a coyote! Please be sure to follow the area trail restrictions. This letterbox is also located in the area.
