BMG2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

scmag85: Archiving this one until it can be replaced. I thought I had archived around January 1. Apparently the log didn't post. Apologies to anyone that has searches recently and DNF. Especially jjbarretts2.

Geocache Description:

This can be an easy PNG but, why not take your time, look around and visit a bit? There are plenty of other Vets in this area that would enjoy your visit. You can find a few I called my friends once you find this cache. I’ve included some waypoint coordinates in the find if you care to visit them.

You’ll find this cache guarded by the ghost of my father. The name tells you his rank. Yes, it’s a double rank. In WWII, some service men did double duty, so to speak, especially some aboard ships that were manned by few. You had to do what needed to be done. Thus, the rank of BMG2 was officially given my dad. He’s buried here alongside others of “The Greatest Generation”. I had the honor to know many of them personally. The ones I’ve noted herein left lasting impressions upon my life and gave me a greater appreciation for all that I have and all that my children will have. Not all of them served in WWII. Some served in more than one war, others served in different wars. I called them my friends and miss them dearly. I hope you will take a little time here, say hello and maybe a word of thanks. They can still hear you and will enjoy the visit from you.

You’re looking for a camo pelican. Originally there was a TB and a Photocopy Geocoin. These have since been grabbed. Maybe someone will place some more here.

There’s also a FTF signature item for you to keep. I make these to use as key fobs. Take it if you like. If you found one before, maybe leave it for someone else.

Thanks for playing along!
