Come to the Iris Capital!
This will be our second annual geocaching event. The challenge takes place Sunday, May 23, 2010 from noon to 5 PM. We will have a LIMITED NUMBER (142) of geocoins with our own icon this year. Join with other cachers at this family friendly event. Please contiune to monitor this cache page for last minute details.
The challenge will take place at the Arts & Blooms tent at Keizer Station. Look for the geocaching banner. There you pick up your passport to Keizer. Participants will visit various locations around the city. At each location with an existing cache it will contain a specially marked baggie; at sites without a cache you will find a specially marked box. The specially marked baggies or boxes will hold a waterproof colored marking pen. DO NOT TAKE THESE. Use them to mark your challenge sheet. One location is a virtual where you will have to answer a question. Complete your journey and come back to the tent. So grab your GPS and join us.
We also have 13 caches in the city you can visit if you haven't already. Some of those caches will be included in the challenge. If you haven't logged a visit to those caches before you will be able to log those finds in addition to the event.
If you attended this event last year and earned a geocoin you will find your generic icon has changed to our own unique one. Due to the limit of 142 coins you must have a geocaching account to earn a coin and we have a limit of one per family that have children. We do not have enough coins to give to each child in the same family.
