Willow Pattern Bridge

If you are going to build a bridge - build an elegant one. I think whoever proposed this design had been drinking tea from a Willow Pattern Tea set recently as it reminds me of the classic oriental images in blue on white china that my Granny had.

This bridge is relatively new as I don't remember it being here on my visit in 2005 when I first walked up Ben Venue. The duckboard path and signage has made the access from the Ben Venue car park on the shore of Loch Achray much better. There is a small unofficial area for parking with a shorter walk in from the road to Loch Katrine but if you are doing the Venue circuit then the loch side car park is better.

The cache is placed away from the bridge because the area on the North side of the burn and the burn itself are just inside the boundary of the Ben A'an Woodlands Site of Special Scientific Interest. I saw a Dipper on the day I placed the cache and woodpeckers were drilling in the trees hereabouts.

Well done Norfolk Lass on being the First to Find.
