This is a four-stage multi-cache, also known as "Watch the Birdie".
Each stage will give you the information you need to move to the
next. Three of the stages, including the final, are in a medium
sized container, but you will have to be "observant" to find one
stage. Relatively flat surfaces on established trails that take you
to some of the areas of the park frequented by birds. Be sure to
bring binoculars and a camera.
Belle Isle State Park was
listed as a top birding spot by Reserve America customers.
Over 150 species of birds have been noted in the park. Caches
contain information about some birds you will see around the area
of the waypoint. You may want to allow time to observe the
birds and take pictures. This is a four-part multi-cache. The
final cache contains the Virginia State Parks collector
card.
This
cache was part of the 2010 Virginia State Parks Geocaching Wildlife
Adventure. This game ended on December 15, 2010. However, the park
has taken over this cache so it is still active. Rewards are no
longer available for this cache, but we will be launching the
Virginia State Parks 75th Anniversary Geocaching Adventure in March
