Alyth is a well kept pleasant town with a couple of pubs, a hotel, a fish and chip shop and a friendly cafe There is a bank with a cash machine, a couple of small super markets and a public toilet. The locals were very friendly and welcoming.
This is an easy walk, with a final steep scramble to reach the cache.
