This cache will have you reviewing a series of graves in Springwood Cemetery, from the famous to the brave to ordinary people like us. Parking is available at the centre of the graveyard, next to a small shelter with a toilet. The coordinates given for this cache refer to the parking area. I can't guarantee the toilet will be open. It was during some of my visits to place this cache, but not always. The coordinates given are to the car park in the cemetery.
You will need to visit six graves and gather information from each to determine the final coordinates for GZ. You can visit the graves in any order you choose. The following is a suggested order. The graves are listed here according to the surname of the deceased along with their coordinates. Gather the required information at each grave.
Willows : S 33 41.237, E 150 34.498
A = The service number of this Air Force Pilot
Norman : S 33 41.257, E 150 34.519
B = The four digit number next to "Driver"
Hood : S 33 41.281, E 150 34.543
C = The number of children of the deceased mentioned on this plaque
Lindsay : S 33 41.304, E 150 34.535
D = The year of birth
Ring : S 33 41.311, E 150 34.570
E = The year of birth for Jean Williamson
Pawson : S 33 41.281, E 150 34.572
F = The digits used on the headstone to represent the date of Una's death added together (DD + M + YY)
A =
B =
C =
D =
E =
F =
Now do the following calculations to determine the site of GZ:
Let X = (A / B)+C
[Round down the result of this calculation to the nearest whole number]
Let Y = (D + E)-((F*100)+105)
The final coordinates for GZ = S 33 41.X, E 150 34.Y
The cache is an ammo box. There are walking paths nearby but you should be out of sight of any nearby muggles. Just keep a lookout.
You might reflect upon the meaning of it all as you sit and do cache duties: life that is. Although this thought might not immediately spring to mind when you are first distracted by the presence of salt in the cache. If you need to use it, as I have had occasion to do, you might very well begin to reflect, as Hamlet once did, that we are food for worms.
Please ensure the cache is replaced as you found it.
