Geocache Description:

Since a small group of cachers in the area seem to have cornered the market on FTF's, I decided to keep to tradition and pass on this Hex, bad juju, Jinx or should I say... CURSE! This is a cursed cache for all First to Find’ers out there. If you are the FTF for a cache in this series, you are cursed to place another “The Curse of the FTF #__ !(Las Vegas) cache and therefore extending the series.

The idea for this cache series was shamelessly and blatantly borrowed from series all over the country. The series is now also active in Virginia, Nebraska, North Carolina, and even Reno.

HERE ARE THE RULES FOR THE SERIES:
1. If you are the First To Find this cache, you will be cursed if you choose not to place another new "Curse of the FTF" cache within 1 month, in order to extend the series. As the FTF, the choice is yours and yours alone!

2. If you choose to avoid the curse by placing the next cache in this series, the resulting cache must contain the words "Curse of the FTF #11 ! (Las Vegas)" in it's title; subsequent cache titles should reflect the appropriate series number.

3. The new cache should be placed somewhere in the Las Vegas area.

4. You may choose any type of cache (i.e. Traditional, Puzzle, etc) and any type/size of container you desire, as long as the TB that goes with the series fits (it will fit most micros, but not nanos).

5. You can only be the First To Find once in this series, in order to give other cachers an opportunity to score a FTF.

6. The nature of the curse is that if you fail to continue the series by posting a new "Curse of the FTF" within the allotted 1 month, you will be prevented from ever getting another FTF until the curse is lifted (Ha! Ha!)

7. You must grab the TB (TB31E3N) from the cache that cursed you and place it in the cache that removes said curse. Make sure you adhere to the guidlines of the TB, and that you log it in the cache AFTER publication (to avoid giving watchers a leg up).

8. You must include this set of guidelines in your listing for this series.

9. If the FTF does not wish to carry on the series, please state so in your log, and leave the TB in the cache, in order to allow the 2nd or so on the option.

10. After this cache is found for the first time, the curse does not apply to anyone else who finds it later (i.e. it reverts to a traditional cache like all others).

By way of clarification, there is no requirement besides the standard signing of the cache log to prevent you from logging this cache when found as a FTF. However, it is hoped that you will play along with the rules of the game so that other geocachers in the Las Vegas area can enjoy it. If you do not feel that you can place a quality cache in the Las Vegas area in the next month, I would ask if you would please wait until someone else has signed the log as FTF before you find the cache.

Happy Hunting and don't forget your horseshoe, rabbit's foot and lucky Penny!
