ALONG THE EDGE... MANCHESTER VIEW is a geocache that lies above the escarpment that sits above Cheesden Pasture. It is a place of wide ranging views.
The cache lies above the wall line, and can be accessed by following the Cheesden Edge path to Kill Gate Brook, and then by either following the wall line, or walking along the wind turbine access track which is nearby.
From the cache site, you get a wide ranging view all the way across to the Pennine Ridge, Manchester and the Peak District. On a good day, you might also see the North Wales Mountains.
It is in an upland area, so please go prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing. It is also rough and uneven underfoot in places, so please be careful.
