Monastery of the Holy Spirit

Located near the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area, the Monastery of the Holy Spirit offers a place of quiet reflection surrounded by natural beauty.

Founded in 1944, this Trappist monastery has long been a destination for those seeking peace, whether through spiritual retreat, quiet walks, or simply spending time in a calm and welcoming environment.

As you make your way along the trail, you may notice how the atmosphere begins to shift. The sounds soften, the pace slows, and the surroundings invite you to take a deeper breath and settle into the moment.

The Walk and the Lake

The path leading toward this cache offers more than just a route to the find. It is part of the experience itself, guiding you past the Monastery grounds and toward a quieter stretch near the lakes.

Nearby, the Monastery Lake provides a peaceful place to pause. Here, you can take in the still water, listen to the birds, and watch as ducks and geese move across the surface.

It is an ideal spot to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the setting before or after your search.

South River Stroll

This geocache is part of the South River Stroll (SRS) series within the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

Following the path of the South River, this series highlights shaded trails, flowing water, and meaningful places found along the corridor. Some locations invite exploration, while others offer moments of quiet reflection.

As you continue along the South River Stroll, you may begin to notice how each stop adds something unique to the journey.
