This cache is currently a jar hidden out of the sun (hint, hint,). It holds a log book which you need to sign for your smiley. I'm not sure it has a writing implement at this time so as all good geocachers know you must BRING YOUR OWN PEN/CIL.
This is along one of the lovely bush walks in the Binna Burra area. We went just after rain and the track was a little slippery in places, so please take caution if going when it's wet. The trail is well marked and comes out at a beautiful open area with a lookout into part of the Numinbah Valley. The obvious feature in the valley is Egg Rock which is well seen from this location. Beyond that is the Numinbah Valley Prison Farm and beyond that again you can see through the valley and farms to the Hinze Dam and the Gold Coast and ocean. Many of the local birds can be heard calling to each other while on this walk, including the bellbirds after which this cache and location are named. We also heard whip birds on the day the cache was placed. The easiest access to the cache location is by way of the entry to the Border Track and Bellbird Lookout which begins off Binna Burra Road opposite the road entrance to the Binna Burra Lodge. If you do the Caves Walk and begin that near the Information Centre you will finish it just across the road from the entrance to the Bellbird Lookout track. The Bellbird Lookout is 1 km from the road, therefore a 2km walk there and back. It's nice and shady with lots of beautiful tropical plants and trees and a lovely walk. Apart from when it's slippery the walk is not difficult with no steep parts to worry about. Just gentle slopes, however there are 3 stone steps in one section and other steps formed by rocks and roots. PLEASE BE AWARE OF MUGGLES and time your retrieval and replacement to suit. Please be sure to replace the camo so that the cache can't be seen. WATCH YOUR CHILDREN AND KEEP THEM SAFE AND NEAR TO YOU ON ANY OF THESE WALKS! FOUR TRIKI-SEEKERS took FTF honours for this cache!
