Gumbo limbo trees are native to this area. Once you have seen one, you won't forget them. They are sometimes called "tourist trees" because of their peeling red bark which resembles sunburned skin.
The trail is an area of mown grass next to the red fire control pipes by the grocery store loading dock. Enter from this side because a fence prohibits entry on the other. The gumbo limbo has grown up at the end of a guy wire holding up a large electric pole. Bring your own pen.
