Best wishes for your future caching and catching!

We had been in correspondence with mnfishnutz, discussing one thing or another, for awhile before we met him. We got our first FTF on one of his caches and finally met him and his wonderful son and daughter when they reciprocated with an FTF at one of our caches. Although 20 years his senior we have much in common and we were immediate friends. We love the creative "bent" he and his caching kids give to their hides from their description pages to their chosen GZs, from the containers they create to their diligent maintenance--we're never disappointed in finding them. We look forward to sharing our "hobby" of caching with him and his for years to come. Congrats on your 1000th cache and your 100th hide. - your friends, Donald and Denise (Brooklyn51)

mnfishnutz and his team have done a ton for geocaching here in the 763 area code. They are always very helpful with hints for hapless cachers like me, and their hides are always super creative and lots of fun to find. I should know; I've found all of them -- at least all of the ones in Minnesota. My wife even likes them, even though she's never met them. (It probably helps that one of their caches is named "Sparkyfry has an awesome wife.") Anyway, congrats on 1,000 finds and 100 hides! I'm already looking forward to the next 1,000 and 100! - sparkyfry

These two (mnfishnutz and troutonthebrain) have added to some of my best caching times. Who could forget when they released 5 or 6 caches last March on a Wednesday night. When I got to gz, there were so many people out in the field with flashlights that it looked like a jail break. All that was missing was the sound of blood hounds. People were everywhere running through the half frozen swamp. What a great time. Thanks guys for all your hard work making and hiding caches. I've had a blast! - mikedeotis p.s. Mount Plymouth in the snow...fun,fun,fun!

Mnfishnutz represents everything good about geocaching. He involves his kids in caching, keeps a great balance between life and caching, and truly has a lot of fun with the hobby. But by far mnfishnutz's acclaim comes from his creative and fun hides. You just never know what to expect with a mnfishnutz hide, but you can be guaranteed that it'll be high quality, and so many of his hides are incredibly memorable. Congrats on 1,000 finds and 100 hides, and for all the fun you've spread around the West Metro area! - Sharknose Bunnies

We always look forward to mnfishnutz hides, and we're fortunate to have so many near us. The hides are guaranteed to be creative and always get a smile from us (when we can find them :) ). The geocaching community is fortunate to have such a friendly, creative and prolific member.  Congratulations on 1,000 finds! - Jim (JJ)

Hmmm, what can I say about mnfishnutz that won't be the same as everyone else's glowing tribute?  I'm guessing that we all have enjoyed his creative hides, some of them more than others!  Remember the "DIPO" series?  You didn't know exactly what you were going to be searching for when you went looking for those?!  :)  Back when the publishing of caches was a more routine thing based on the time of the day, I got the chance to search for a number of his hides first and loved the FTF prize of their beautiful handiwork in leather.  They even made me one with my caching name on it that is still attached to my GPS unit.  But I've been blessed to know Brian and his family long before I even knew that they were geocachers and have always enjoyed their friendship.  Congrats, Brian, on your 1,000 find and I'm so impressed that you and Riley are going to be publishing your 100th hide too at about the same time!!  You guys add so much to the local geocaching community - the NW suburbs are filling up with some really nice smilies, thanks to you!  May you find all of the caches that you search for and I can't wait to be celebrating with you for 2,000 finds sometime real soon!!  And let's go caching again together soon! - Quilting is fun too

-------------------

Mnfishnutz was the first cacher I met in the wild. I was stuck on stage 3 of Zachary Cachery when he and his two children showed up to cheer me on and eventually walk to the final with me. Since then we have kept in touch via email and phone calls as well as bumping into each other on the occasional FTF. He and his caching family are some of the nicest people one can find. He has also added a lot of very fun and well done hides. Congrats on hitting 1,000 as well as 100 Hides and keep having fun. - Seeingitdifferent
