This puzzle is placed in recognition of Pi day, March 14th.

Pi is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter in Euclidean space; this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius. It is approximately equal to 3.141593 in the usual decimal notation. The constant is also known as Archimedes Constant, although this name is rather uncommon in modern, western, English-speaking contexts. Many formulae from mathematics, science, and engineering involve pi, which is one of the most important mathematical and physical constants. Pi is an irrational number, which means that its value cannot be expressed exactly as a fraction m/n, where m and n are integers. Consequently, its decimal representation never ends or repeats. It is also a transcendental number, which implies, among other things, that no finite sequence of algebraic operations on integers (powers, roots, sums, etc.) can be equal to its value; proving this was a late achievement in mathematical history and a significant result of 19th century German mathematics. Throughout the history of mathematics, there has been much effort to determine pi more accurately and to understand its nature; fascination with the number has even carried over into non-mathematical culture.

But we don't really care about pie, we just want to cache, right?

To find the actual cache you will need to multiply Pi by both the North and West decimal portion of the posted coordinates.
Like this:

144.84 x Pi = ABC.WX...

and

202.45 x Pi = DEF.YZ...

and apply it to these new coordinates:

N 42 47.ABC W 083 06.DEF

If your math is correct, you will find yourself in the middle of Charles Ilsley Park.

Please stay on the trails until you get within 10 or 20 feet of the cache. Please do not cross any fences. If you find yourself on the wrong side of a fence (South side is the wrong side), follow the trail East to an opening in the fence. The fence is old barbed wire and it would not be wise to mess with it. The cache is close to a fence, so please supervise any children who may be caching with you.

There should be enough Pi to go around, so enjoy yourself!

Permit on file at the Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commission.

Congrats to Lwnam91 on obtaining the first slice of pi!
