SPD Kawaga Gardens Traditional Cache

in our disclaimer.
Here is a garden that most Skokie residents don't even know about. That's understandable since this park is new, tucked away in an unusual place and there is no playground for kids.
This very easy to find hide is surrounded by private property, but not hidden near private property. Please respect the neighbors and do not come at night. The house to the east has been informed about what is happening here.
Donated to the SkokiePark District by the Stein Family in 2008, the land now serves as a home for a small butterfly garden and native plants. The butterfly garden was first cultivated by the Steins and is now managed by volunteers of the Emily Oaks Nature Center. The name Kawaga honors Elaine Stein's love for nature developed as a child during her many memorable summers spent at Camp Kawaga, a boy’s camp founded by her grandparents near Minocqua, Wisconsin. The white pine planted here is reminiscent of the towering pines at Camp Kawaga.
