Geocache Description:

One of the best parts of geocaching is all the great people you meet along the way. PAGA (Western PA Geocaching Association) has honored several local cachers for their accomplishments and/or contributions to our caching community. We have met these honorees either at events or on trails and have found each and every one of them to be approachable and helpful... quick with advice or a yarn! This cache is dedicated to these "All-Stars".

The cache is a camo'ed plastic container placed in Frick Park. The high difficulty is a combination of the puzzle and a well camo'ed hide (LOL). Please rehide the cache as found to allow the next seeker the same fun that you experienced! This part of Frick Park has baseball fields, clay tennis courts, picnic tables, and an extensive playground area. Feel free to enjoy the area while visiting.

Penny's grandpa loved to score baseball games! Back in the day, keeping a record of the game was a natural part of the experience of going to a Bucco game at Forbes Field that one rarely see now-a-days. Although admittedly nerdy, it seems to fit perfectly into the pace of the action. To score a game, all one does is record the outcome of each play by designating the players involved (using their position). You could see an Alley to Maz to Clink, 6-4-3 double play or maybe Roberto throwing someone out at the plate, 9-2. The PAGA All-Stars are listed below. Their statistics, positions, batting order, etc. are purely fictional and randomly assigned (although it seemed only right to put the Dragons out in centerfield where they would have more room to spread their wings). Also, the pitcher may have a low batting average, but he has over 3,000 career wins! Everything you will need to solve for the coordinates of the cache are on this page. You will not need to visit the tribute caches listed but we certainly recommended them.
