Geocache Description:

Located in the Hapgood-Wright Town Forest, which is also known as "Fairyland." Parking is across the street from the Concord-Carlisle High School.

Once upon a time in the splendid Hapgood-Wright Forest of Concord, a cache was placed by the fair maiden Zoraima. When she moved out of the Commonwealth she entrusted her treasure to BluEyz and Bugsy. After many years of faithful service they found that Zoraima had decided to forsake her well placed cache. BluEyz and Bugsy believe that all geocachers should have a chance to experience the historic Fairyland. They now offer a newly named cache in the picturesque woods so that everyone can live happily ever after.

The Hapgoord-Wright Forest is composed of 135 acres of conservation land. A man-made pond was created there centuries ago by damming part of the swamp that was once part of the glacial Lake Concord. It is said that the children of Bronson Alcott and Ralph Waldo Emerson christened it, "Fairyland Pond." Thoreau's journals made frequent references to the area.

American author, Harriett Mulford Stone (1844–1924), wrote that “Fairyland has a pretty pond, embowered in trees, and a delicious spring, cool and clear enough to have been patronized by the fairies. It has always been a favorite haunt for the children of the village, and many of the school children have often used it as a play and picnic ground. Some thirty years ago, the pupils of a well-known school used to hold fairy masques and costume parties there, and if a wayfarer had strayed in, he would have been surprised to find himself in the center of a fairy ring or gypsy carnival."
