Chose to place a cache here as it's a beautiful part of the NW tip, with panoramic views out over the ocean towards Mt Cameron and the Studland bay and Woolnorth wind farms.
This area which has been voted one of the three best surfing beaches in Australia, is located app. 2km from Marrawah and has a small free camping area.
There are lots of Aboriginal rock carvings, especially around Green Point, Preminghana and West Point near Marrawah Tasmania. There is little accommodation, although the isolation is what makes Marrawah special. There is a large surfing and windsurfing competition held in the area each year, as the surf is world class. better known as the Ripcurl West Coast Classic which is held on this March long weekend.
The cache is abit bigger than normal in a camo cyclinder. Take note that it is mounted ona pinnacle of rocks, so look for a flat white rock.Is away from the main muggle undercover bbq area.
So pack for a bbq and Hope you enjoy this location as we do..
