Geocache Description:

Every Crook needs a stash. A place to go when they have made the break from jail and need to collect their thoughts, restock themselves with the tools of trade, use some tools to remove the odd tracking bracelet or handcuffs and pick up some diversion uniform and Police radio. They also need a quick getaway.

Welcome to Criminal Intent

Silverwater Correctional Complex is located 21km west of Sydney's central business district. The complex houses:

  • Women's Correctional Centre. A maximum security institution for women and the major reception centre for female offenders in NSW.
  • Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) a maximum security correctional facility for males.
  • Silverwater Correctional Centre a minimum security institution for males.

Notable inmates past and present include:

  • Rodney Adler. Disgraced businessman, HIH Insurance.
  • Hew Raymond Griffiths. Alleged software pirate, before his extradition to the US.
  • Sef Gonzales. Convicted of murdering his parents and sister.
  • Phuong Ngo. Convicted of the murder of John Newman.
  • Rene Rivkin. Stockbroker and businessman sentenced to periodic detention due to ill health. Now deceased.
  • Chris Munce. Convicted of fixing during a horse racing meeting in Hong Kong.
  • Tony Hines. Standover Man shot dead by Bra Boys Member.

Now, onto some more non essential information.

This area is another fine example of where all the excavated material from the Sydney Olympics works went. When this place first opened up, and before it became popular, I and many others frequented this area (particularly the main hill with the spiral path) and practiced our golf driving.

The cache is very straight forward and best accessible by foot or bike. The start may prove a little tricky for some but after that it should be pretty easy. You may need to mind the young ones when at GZ. Be open minded and think about your approach to GZ rather than heading as the crow flies.

You do not require any tools to locate this cache or the waypoint.

From the posted coordinates, count the number of little mounds you can see. The one you are standing on would be considered big. Call this number ab.

Now for some really hard Criminal Maths.

(a + b) x (b x b) = c

The GZ coordinates are provided by substituting the above value for c into the following coordinates:

S 33° 49.563 - c
E 151° 03.340 + c

The initial contents of the cache relate to a Cops and Robbers theme. It would be nice to follow the theme.
