Stebbings flood detention dam was built as part as part of the flood control measure for Porirua Stream and can be accessed by a short walk either from Glenside or Churton Park. The site is also a location of replanting and restoration by the local stream care group.
This cache is a two part multi where the given coordinates take you near the base of the dam in search of a hidden micro. A concealed sheet will give you the coordinates to the final, which is a short walk away. At no time will you need to go near the edge of the water.
At WP1 there is NO need to move anything...nimble hands will suffice.
The final is a 500ml camouflaged snap lock container with logbook, pencil and a few swaps.
Please re-hide the containers exactly as you find them to prevent from being muggled. This can be a popular spot, especially for dog walkers.
