Geocache Description:


Rema (stream) Chalandriou is a large stream emanating from the fringes of Penteli . At its pass is the physical boundary of 2 beautifull suburbs Vrilisia and Melissia and then after passing though the modern suburb of Chalandri it flows until the hills of Tourkovounia.
It remains more or less the only green area left of the above municipalities and although it could be a small heaven on earth , unfurtunately it remains neglected from both the state and the citizens who chose to leave around it.
I placed my cache there in the hope that new visitors will act as an awareness factor and help preserve this last piece of nature within our doors .
The cache is a small tupper and it should be easy enough to find.
Therefore I will not give you any directions.
If you do not have a car you can take the metro until Chalandri .

Το ρέμα Χαλανδρίου πηγάζει από τις παρυφές τις Πεντέλης και κατηφορίζοντας οριοθετεί τα σύνορα Βριλισσίων και Μελισσίων και αφού διασχίσει το Χαλανδρι χάνεται κάπου στα Τουρκοβούνια. 
Το ρέμα χαλανδρίου αποτελεί ουσιαστικά τον μόνο πράσινο πνεύμονα για όλες αυτές τις περιοχές και παρόλου που θα μπορούσε να είναι ένας μικρός παράδεισος στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος του είναι  παραδομένο στα σκουπίδια εγκαταλειμένο και από την υπέυθυνη πολιτεία αλλά και από τους ίδιους τους κατοίκους. 
Με αφορμή την ημερήσια βόλτα που βγάζω τα σκυλοσυντρόφια μου ανακάλυψα κάποιες γωνιές του ρέματος που παραμένουν ακόμα ζωντανές και επισκέψιμες και τοποθέτησα εδώ μία γεωκρύπτη με σκοπό να ευαισθητοποιήσω αλλά και να διαφυλλάξω κατά το δυνατόν τις τελευταίες αυτές φυσικές γωνιές που βρίσκονται δίπλα στην πόρτα μας.
 Αν δεν έχετε αυτοκίνητο πάρτε το μετρό και κατεβείτε στάση Χαλανδρίου. Μετά χρειάζεται περπάτημα περίπου 15 λεπτά μέχρι το ρέμα.
