Small "click and lock" cache alongside the canal.
This cache is placed along a busy stretch of the Worcester and Birmingham canal, close to boat moorings and an entrance to The Vale campus for Bham Uni students. The towpath widens here into a lightly wooded area, which is where the cache is hidden. A walk along this canal from Selly Oak or further afield is a great way to get into the city centre, and leads to Gas Street and Brindley Place. The cross city train route runs alongside the canal for most of its route into town, and is a handy way of getting back again.
The name of this cache is from the old local joke about throwing back a "whale" caught in the cut, because "it day 'ave no spokes".
Watch out for students/joggers/mountain bikers/fishermen/boaters!
Congratulations to graham1875, the FTF
