Gett'n' dirty Traditional Cache

Nomex: No response to request for verification of permission:

I am unfortunately not able to list your cache at this time. As specified in the Geocaching.com Cache Listing Requirements available at http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx , buried caches are not permitted. Please see the section on ''Off-Limit (Physical) Caches'':

If a shovel, trowel or other ''pointy'' object is used to dig, whether in order to hide or to find the cache, then it is not appropriate. About the only exception to the buried cache rule is a cache hidden in sand, where it can be easily uncovered by bare hands.

In order to get your cache listed, you must either remove it from the ground and remove all traces of the digging, or contact the land managers of the park and obtain their permission for placement of a buried cache. In the meantime, I have Disabled your cache in order to clear it from the Review Queue.

Once you have corrected this issue with the cache, please feel free to Enable your Listing to send it back to the Review Queue, and I'll take another look at it.

Thanks for your understanding

Geocache Description:

This is my first attempt at a real home made geocache. I have gotten tired of searching for film canisters and altoid containers, and I'm sure you all have too. So I hope you can all enjoy this one. This took some time to make, and I hope that you can all treat it with respect. I have seen too many custom caches destroyed by cachers who don't feel like actually looking and feel the need to tear apart the crime scene instead.

The cache is in a location where there is easy parking (street side and a parking lot) and if you park in the parking lot, you will have great cover from muggles. Just as a hint, the cache is not on the street side.

No pen necessary, and room for trade items.

After just a few days, I have received multiple emails about this cache and the "off-limit" cache rules. I wanted to confirm with everyone that I have stayed within the rules of planting caches. While the cache is in a private property parking lot, I have been given permission by the property owner to put it there. Second of all, the cache is called "Gett'n' Dirty" for a reason. So for that one particular rule, that I am not saying since it will give away too much of a hint, don't worry. When you find the cache, you will figure it all out. So please, no more emails.

I took the liberty to stop by today and check on the cache (three days after planting it), and the cache is already in pretty terrible shape. So, for the time being, you guys will just have to do as best as you can do to make the cache blend in when you put it back. I have temporarily fixed any issues about accessing the cache without breaking it, but it looks like it may need to come home soon to permanently fix the issue. I will be taking this one down for maintenance sometime this week, but until you see the gray cache symbol on the map, keep hunting. Also when you see this paragraph removed, you can rest assured that all issues have been fixed and no more suspending the search. Sorry for all of the issues, but hopefully they will all be taken care of after this week.

Congrats to Doofy1313 for FTF, and getting your first FTF. Hope you liked it.
