Geocache Description:

Cache container is a metal pill bottle slightly smaller than a film canister. BYO pen.

The first settlers of Bridgeport lived in the area of the historical marker. The metal poles in the field behind the sign mark the location of a cistern used by some of the first residents. Remnants of the road that the Butterfield-Overland Stage traveled on can be found in the tree line to the right of the historical marker.
