Geocache Description:

Cache easily accessed along wide public footpath outside Thurne Churchyard wall. Limited parking at the church. For those arriving by water moor at Thurne Dyke. The church is a few hundred yards up the road.

Small clip lock box, containing some quality swag for the FTF to choose from. If you find a film pot micro-cache as well or instead of the clip lock box its because I changed my mind after hiding the micro and then couldn't find it again!!! So there are actually 2 caches here both with logs in them.

The church is dedicated to St Edmund King and Martyr. Apart from being an old and attractive little church, its most interesting feature is a long, circular squint which pierces the western wall of the tower, lining up with the altar to the east, and St Benet's Abbey to the west. It is thought it was to create a kind of sacramental connection between the two.
