If you’re looking for a bison tube hanging from a tree in the middle of the woods....look elsewhere! This cache is designed to be: 1) Non-typical 2) Challenging 3) Along an established trail not known to many 4) In an area that is worthy to be explored and enjoyed! 5) In a safe, quiet area that’s family and dog friendly.
This cache is on a publicly accessible trail in the “Harbor Hill” area; a new and growing development in Gig Harbor. I’ve always respected the ingenuity of urban hides, but prefer to be out in the woods. So, here’s my shot at combining both of these.
Plenty of parking is available at the listed Parking waypoint (just past the YMCA).
NO bushwacking is required to find the cache. Your seeking a ‘cacher obvious side-trail, perpendicular to the the main trail. It'll lead you up and into the vicinity of the cache. There's several trails in the general area and part of the challenge to this hide is actually finding the correct one. Although the actual container only contains a log (bring a pen/pencil), your seeking something larger in size....and something that blends in well with the environment! Please put the cache back just as you found it, and don’t post any pics of the container itself. ‘Enjoy! --ArcticTE
A very well deserved FTF congratulations goes to BonnieK and GeoCyclingMan!!!!
