Fredericksburg Geocachers Splache 'n'
Cache
This event is usually held the week before Memorial Day, but
everything was booked early, so we backed up a week to May 15.
Don't worry, it will be warm and sunny by then. We have the joint
from 8 am to 10 pm. Early birds will have to help set up. There is
a $3 parking fee to enter the park. There will be prizes, games and
fun.
Rough schedule...
8 am - Wake up.
8 - Noon - have fun, find caches, play games
Noon - 1 pm. Eat
1 - 2 pm - games and prizes
2 - end pm - play, enjoy, tell tall tales, relax.
Please sign up as early as you can so we can get a
good idea of how many will be there and plan for those HUGE numbers
we expect this year.
This is our fourth Splash 'n' Cache and it is always a ball.
Hopefully we will have some boats there for fun out on the lake. I
will bring a couple of kayaks for people to use.
We would like everyone to "sign up" to bring some sort of dish or
food item. We usually have:
Burgers and Buns
Dogs and Cats
some braut or brat
salads, leafy and tubular
cookies, cakes, and other low-calorie items
Condiments (Barkfeather)
BYOBOB (Bottles of Beverage)
So please, when you log your "will attend", mention what you will
bring and I will try to add here what is lacking.
