Downtown Main Street USA, Smithfield is a pretty busy place. While this isn't a big town with lots of businesses, it does have a whole lot of traffic, as the majority of N/S traffic through Cache Valley to/from Southern Idaho passes thru here.
Historically, this used to be a rough place with a number of conflicts between the settlers and the indians. Take a moment to view the plaque and sit on a park bench. Nearby is the city library, an elementary school, tennis courts, and a playground. Sky View high school is on the south end of town and several blocks to the east is Birch Creek, one of the nation's best public golf courses.
This cache isn't very big with only a pencil and a log. Micro geocoins could be traded but it won't hold much in the way of swag. Please use care in replacing the container so it isn't too easily spied!.
