Cache is a small tupperware container placed inside a clear plastic bag then into another grey plastic bag for protection. Some small trades are inside it in a zip lock bag.
The road in is a good one except at this time of year it has two mud holes I choose not to take my car through.
Why did I bring you to Gus's Rat Barn?? Well I like it here. I have brought my children here to picnic in the past. Gus has some childhood memories of this place. He tells a good story of how the boys used to come up here during the summer to see if they could sneak up on the rats who lived inside. A bunch of boys were not always so lucky but when they did there were stories to tell!!
There used to be a larger house here but it burnt down. Families like the Kershaws, Charlie Thomas, the newly weds J&M Gowans and Jimmy Martins enjoyed living at this little oasis.
Please give these wonderful old buildings respect. Do not go inside, the cache is not in or near the buildings.
