Geocache Description:

After placing another cache nearby (GC24Y45), I stumbled upon something that I totally wasn’t expecting (yes, a true “What the?!” moment)... a carved sculpture in the middle of the woods! ‘Definitely an area worthy of a well stocked ammo can!

This cache is along a publicly accessible trail in the “Harbor Hill” area; a new and growing development in Gig Harbor. It’s a neat wooded area in a quiet part of town. It’s also great bird watching territory (thanks to all the bird houses that have been placed along the trail)!

Your seeking a well hidden ammo can a little ways off the main trail (less than 50 steps). The area your looking for is just down the trail from the sculpture and roughly where it’s looking. Bushwacking is required, but the area is obvious and it’s relatively easy. GZ was averaged 450 times with an accuracy of 15 feet (lot’s of tree cover).

There's several trails in the area, so to get you going I’d recommend entering through the green gate near the parking area. Follow the road ‘till you see a walking trail, on your left, leading into the woods (protected by several metal columns to keep cars out). Please re-hide the cache just as you found it (or better). ‘Enjoy! --ArcticTE

Plenty of parking is available at the listed Parking waypoint (just past the YMCA). Be sure to get a satellite fix on your GPSr prior to entering the woods.

Congratulations to C_B_W and TurtleFinder on FTF!!!!!
