A multi-cache staged on K Road in Auckland with a doggy theme.
"K Road" in Auckland is your starting point for this multi-stage cache.
When solving the clues, just remember it is all about dogs!
Your starting point is at the coordinates given. Once you arrive at the coordinates, have a good look around. You will see the "Barker and Pollock" building across the road. This building used the be the home of one of a chain of fabric stores, where you could get yourself some fine clothes for a night on the town!
The coordinates for waypoint 1 are S 36° 51.AAA E 174° 45.BBB
AAA = 475 + (9 x 3rd digit in the bus stop number allocated to the St Kevin's Arcade bus stop across the road from the Barker & Pollock Building)
BBB = 653 - (44 x the number of small arches on the top of the Barker & Pollock Building)
Waypoint 1 is the next stop on the big night on the town and located at an appropriate place to "sit" for a treat. While you are here, check out the logo.
The coordinates for waypoint 2 are S 36° 51.CCC E 174° 45.DDD
CCC = AAA + (100 - number of freckles on dog's face in logo)
DDD = BBB - (101+ number of dog's teeth in logo + number of studs on dog's collar in logo)
With all of that solved it's time to wag your tail over to waypoint 2, another great place for a dog out on the town and again have a good look at the building.
The coordinates for final waypoint are S 36° 51.EEE, E 174° 45.FFF
EEE = CCC - (11 x number of panes of rectangular glass on the front of the building)
FFF = DDD - (8 x number of planks making up the sign above the door)
The final coordinates will take you to a very neat path in an exciting off leash dog area.
The final coordinates will not deliver you exactly to GZ. When you have reached the final coordinates you will be standing at the top of a set of stairs that point directly down to a large and impressive Morton Bay Fig tree. The cache is hidden at the base of that tree.
Don't worry, the dog didn't bury the cache, but he did camo it.
You are looking for a peanut butter jar camoed using natural material. Please take care with it, and replace as found.
We hope you enjoy your night on the town!
WOOF!
