Is this Dr Evil's lair nestled away in the fields just outside Newcastle?
This cache can be reached either by a short walk along a public footpath up from Brunton Lane, or by a longer, more scenic walk from the Three Hills/Havannah nature reserve off Coach lane. Both routes are bike and dog walking friendly.
The cache site gives you a close-up view over Sage's headquarters in North Park, which looks like it could be something out of an Austin Powers or James Bond movie. You need to be on the Sage side of the hedge to access the cache, and there are a couple of obvious well-trodden gaps to get through, near the site.
The container itself is a good-sized lock'n'lock with logbook and pencil, and will take plenty of goodies and travel bugs etc.
There are a couple of parking spots on Brunton Lane, and plenty at the Three Hills car park. Note that, due to the expansion of Great Park, access to the Brunton Lane site is no longer available from the East (Gosforth side): you must access it from the West direction (Kingston Park/Dinnington).
We have two other nearby caches accessible pretty easily from this one - 'If you go down to the woods today...' , and 'Are you Havannah laugh?'
Keep your eyes open for wild-life around here. You might see deer, and we saw a fox and someone exercising their Harris Hawk when we were setting this cache!
