Irish Market Traditional Cache
Ratbas: I'm no longer in Lowell often enough to stay on top of this one. It's been muggled a few times so I'm opening up the area in hopes that it will be used by someone else. Thank-you to all of the cachers who have enjoyed coming here.

Site pays tribute to those who helped build Lowell's canal system. The name of the cache refers to it's address (Market St) and the local name people have for the statue (The Irish Worker).
More information about this and other examples of Lowell public art can be found in this piece by Richard Howe: http://richardhowe.com/2009/04/29/video-tour-of-lowell-public-art/
The relevant part of the video starts at about fifty seconds in.
Wheelchair accessible. This could be a P&G if you're in a rush. Parking is on-street, pay-and-display. There is free parking off of Dutton St for visitors to the National Historical Park visitors center (a free museum about Lowell's industrial past).
Also in the area are many good restaurants.
