Mount McCormack is situated at the very end of the Clear Range! – That’s it, after that you are in the paddocks! (I bet you didn’t realise that the Range came that far!). Not a huge mountain as far as mountains go, but at 900m it offers some fantastic views over the Naas Valley, including the Gudgenby River which looks quite nice from up here at the moment! Of course, neighbouring Mt Tennent, is predominant, but Black Mountain and South Canberra are easy to spot in the distance! This is an interesting corner of the ACT, right on the border with NSW. No need to cross into NSW or cross the big new barb-wire fence to get to this cache!
