An easy (?) find in a location popular with the locals in the late afternoon. Watch for muggles power-walking, dog-walking, cycling, jogging etc.
Charters Towers has plenty of hidden historical landmarks, and this one serves as a reminder of how things were done back in the "good old days".
If you want to look a little less obvious, I you can park the car at S20 03.458 E146 16.014 and take an easy walk to the cache. There's also a small park here which is great place for a picnic.
