Geocache Description:

ABOUT THE CACHE Dushanbe has some great views from Victory Park (aka Park Pobeda or парк победы) which is a World War 2 memorial park combined with trails and a fruit orchard. It's worth taking an afternoon to hike around this park, bring a picnic or grab a meal from the hillside restaurant. This cache is hidden in one of the gnarly old trees. You might need some persistence to find the crossing point to get across the wide ditch near the cache.

ABOUT THE LOCATION
Sitting in a beautiful location on a hill in Victory Park, this Tajik World War 2 memorial park is a beautiful and serene place. There is little in English here to explain the history of the location, but the spot can be enjoyed for it's views. Many Tajiks lost their lives in the Soviet army during WW2 a the nearby memorial. Take some time to head over there - not the attached War Memorial Waypoint. And happy caching!
