At some points in the year a large amount of frogs spawn can be found in teh area near this cache so please take extreme care when retrieving or if you are unable to retrieve the cache due to the frogs please do be sensible and leave it in place, to come back another day
Thank you for your cooperation
Thank you to Ghostly1 for the heads up.
Please note when attempting this cache or any other cache placed by myself you do so at your own risk and responsibility.
The may require wading attribute is on due to the many logs pointing out how bog like the path has become. This must be a feature of the path in times of rain. Hope you do not mind too much while on your caching trails : ) .
This was a route which has been set up for our Cub Scouts to have a go at aas they enjoyed some of the routes which have been set up by other cachers.
We took our cub troop out Geocaching and they loved it! They found the whole thing very exciting and rewarding, therefore we have tried to set up a trail for them so they can continue to search for more.
Brief history of 1st Frankby Greasby
The First Jamboree in Arrowe Park in 1929 must have sparked off more than a few coughs and colds, it also sparked off a burgeoning of Scouting throughout the World. Birkenhead YMCA, the first Troop ever formed, was the yeast so far as West Cheshire was concerned, and shortly after the Final Ceremony at the Jamboree, one "B.P.'s Arrows" fell on the tiny rural village of Frankby, and so it was that on the 14th October, 1929, 1st Frankby was born. The Roydens were potentially interested in the "Scouts", and also in the "Guides". Their most useful piece of benevolence was the gift of the Scout Field at Frankby, which was given to the Group as a football field and has never been out of use since.
This route should take you about an hour and a half in total, this time does not include the puzzle cache at the end.
Congratulations to PhilPamandRob on their FTF
