Geocache Description:

This cache is a plastic container (similar to a Lock-and-Lock) hidden in the old Peck Cemetery in Cumberland's Arnold Mills area. Please be RESPECTFUL of the cemetery and the neighborhood.

Park on the side street. The open green gate is at the south end of the cemetery (near the speed limit sign). Be careful when crossing the road: besides the blind curve some people rive over the 25 mph speed limit.

This is Rhode Island Historical Cemetery #19. At the cemetery entrance a granite block with a bronze plaque reads: "Within this New England hillside there rest 45 Patriots of American Revolution and 4 members of the Grand Army of the Republic. Tablet placed by Lafayette Lodge #47, F&AM and the town of Cumberland, 1990." There are a large number of footstones leaning against trees and other stones. (The rest of the full description can be found at (visit link) ).

The kids picked the site for this cache, and they hope you will enjoy it. There is plenty of swag in this cache for children: magnifying lenses, a squishy ball, glow sticks, etc. And we're launching a travel bug to go see the world from this cache.

(Note that this cache is not the Letterbox called "Star-Gazing" which is listed at (visit link) )
