Geocache Description:

The cache is located about 3 blocks from an inlet for shrimping boats and a processing plant. Plenty of parking.

This cache is away from the busy day world. A visit to this quaint little area will make you appreciate the life of a shrimper. American shrimp boats are rare these days with destruction coming from recent hurricanes. Shrimpers are a very independent lot, skilled and careful, quick to deal with difficulties in all kinds of weather conditions and quick to aid and assist. Shrimpers are away from home during the summer a week to 10 days at a time. Unfortunately, this area is closed on Sundays.
Take time to enjoy the view and the shrimp boats.
