A photo opportunity that will let everyone see the changing river.
We pass this spot many times, generally on the first day of another road trip. That is bound to put us in a good mood ! Over the past few years we have been taking photos of the river from the bridge. Recently we decided to get them all together and it was interesting to see how things change in the river over time. A few examples have been included.
This led us to placing our first cache in the area to encourage others to contribute some photos of the changing river. It's just a small cache with a notepad. Although we had been preparing for a while, we still hadn't prepared swaps. Small swaps will fit in the container if others want to leave some.
Although it is not a requirement of the cache, I would encourage visitors to take a photo of the river looking downstream from the bridge and publish it to the site so everyone can see how things change over time.
28/1/2015: Based on a recent log I have updated the attributes to warn of dangerous creatures. Apparently there is a good chance of spiders being around so take care and consider wearing gloves.
15/10/2016: Cache location and hint changed to try and prevent future high river levels from affecting the cache.
