lefthanded99: I think this one has now run its course. In the 9 years since the cache was placed, the area has become quite overgrown, and the recent introduction of parking restrictions means that it is no longer suitable as the cache-and-dash that it was originally intended to be.

Geocache Description:

Simple cache within easy reach of Junction 28 of the M4.

Looking at the traffic using the M4 today, it is hard to believe that the A48 was the only route westbound from Newport until 1977.

The land on which the Celtic Springs Business Park now stands used to belong to the University of Wales and was known as the Cleppa Park Agricultural Research Station. Today, in addition to the many businesses there is an hotel, a pub/restaurant and more recently a branch of a bakery chain which will serve you a nice cup of takeaway coffee as well if you like. You will also find parking nearby at N51 33.531 W002 02.209
The area is nicely landscaped and could provide a restful break from your journey along the M4.

The cache is well-hidden, and may not be what you are expecting. This is a busy area, particularly during office hours. Please ensure that the cache is concealed when you replace it.

PLEASE NOTE: There is deep water close by. Make sure that children and animals are safe. Also be aware that swans can be aggressive, particularly when there are young swans around.
