Print this four-page PDF document, and get a pair of scissors and some transparent tape. You're going to be cutting, folding and taping the printout to form a magic cube, and then manipulating the magic cube to solve this puzzle. Just follow these directions:

  1. Cut the shapes from the four printouts. You will end up with eight T-shaped pieces of paper.

  2. Form each T into a cube by folding along its dotted lines and taping the faces into place. The printed side of the paper should face out.

  3. Connect the cubes with eight hinges made of tape. Begin by locating the two cubes that have an edge labeled with a pair of 1's. Position these cubes so that the 1's are on top and the edges they label are adjacent to each other. Put a piece of tape across the top of the two cubes, forming a hinge. The tape should be on the faces labeled with the 1's. Repeat this procedure for edges 2 through 8.

Now it's time to play with your magic cube. It should be easy to manipulate it into a variety of shapes. If you're observant, some of those shapes will help you solve this puzzle.

Beginning at the posted coordinates, go 0.ABC minutes north and 0.DEF minutes west to locate the cache container. It contains a log book (that you'll need to sign to claim this cache) and a wooden puzzle (that you'll need to solve to obtain the coordinates for Face Value). Plan to solve the wooden puzzle at the site of the hide; please do not remove it from the immediate vicinity of Cube Root.
