This should be a quick find near the Skwentna Airport. It will require a plane ride, snow machine ride, LONG bike or ski, or a jet boat trip.
I set out on a mission to cache the iditarod trail. This was the only cache that i ended up dropping due to the pile of storms that hit us on our way through. Due to the depth of the snow, the cache might need to be repositioned this summer to keep locals from borrowing the container for their own ammo needs. I tried to ensure it was hidden well...however, the tree wells we very deep.
Hopefully this is the first of many caches in the area. It is beautiful!
The Skwentna roadhouse is a nice place to stay. It is the only place in town to cool your heels.
